Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains, in plain language, what personal data Imperial Excursion ("we", "us") collects when you use imperialexcursion.com or book a tour with us, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect only what we need to plan and run your trip, we never sell your data, and you can contact us at any time about it.

1. Who we are

2. What data we collect

• Quote & contact requests. When you use the quote forms on our tour pages, the details you enter (name, travel dates, group size, preferences, any notes) are sent to us as a WhatsApp message that you review and send yourself — nothing is submitted or stored by this website in the background. Contact and newsletter forms on the site collect your name and email address so we can reply or send updates.
• Booking details. To operate a confirmed tour we may need names as written in passports, nationality, arrival details, dietary or medical notes you choose to share, and emergency contact information.
• Payment information. Deposits are handled by your bank, card provider or transfer service. We do not store card numbers on this website.
• Automatic data. Like almost every website, we use cookies and analytics (see section 5) that collect technical data such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs (IP address, time of access) for security.

3. How we use your data

• To answer your enquiry and prepare your custom itinerary and quote
• To operate your tour — reservations with riads, hotels, desert camps, guides and drivers
• To stay in touch before and during your trip (WhatsApp, email or phone — whichever you used)
• To send occasional updates if you subscribed to our newsletter (you can unsubscribe at any time)
• To understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. Ever.

4. WhatsApp communications

Most of our communication happens on WhatsApp, because it is the easiest channel for travellers. When you contact us there, your messages are processed by WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) under WhatsApp's own privacy policy, including their end-to-end encryption. We keep conversation history so we can serve you across your trip.

5. Cookies & analytics

This website uses Google Analytics to understand visitor behaviour (pages visited, time on site, approximate region). This involves cookies set by Google; the data we see is aggregated and does not identify you personally. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser. WordPress may also set basic functional cookies needed for the site to work.

6. Who we share data with

• Tour partners — the riads, hotels, desert camps, local guides and drivers who deliver your trip receive only what they need (typically names, dates and relevant preferences).
• Service providers — our website hosting, email and analytics providers process technical data on our behalf.
• Legal requirements — Moroccan accommodation providers are required by law to register guests' identity details with the authorities, which is why riads and hotels ask for your passport at check-in.

7. How long we keep your data

Enquiry messages and booking records are kept for as long as needed to serve you and to meet accounting obligations, after which they are deleted. Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your data earlier at any time (see section 8).

8. Your rights

Under Morocco's data protection law (Law 09-08, supervised by the CNDP) — and the GDPR if you are visiting from the EU/UK — you have the right to:

• Ask what personal data we hold about you (access)
• Have inaccurate data corrected
• Have your data deleted where we no longer need it
• Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent (e.g. unsubscribe from the newsletter)

To exercise any of these, just message us on WhatsApp — we respond to every request.

9. How we protect your data

Our website runs over HTTPS, access to booking information is limited to our small team, and we share with partners only the minimum needed to run your tour. No online service can promise absolute security, but we treat your information the way we would want ours treated.

10. International visitors

Our team and operations are in Morocco, so information you send us is processed in Morocco. By contacting or booking with us, you understand that your data will be handled there as described in this policy.

11. Children

Our website and services are intended for adults. We collect children's details (names, ages) only from their parent or guardian, and only as needed to plan a family trip.

12. Links to other websites

Our pages link to external sites (for example UNESCO pages about the sites you'll visit). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites — check their own policies.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and its "last updated" date. Significant changes will be flagged clearly.
