Overview

Why our halal Morocco tour is different

Searching for a halal Morocco tour where you don't have to explain anything? We are a Muslim-owned, Marrakech-based team — halal isn't a service we added to a brochure, it's simply how we live and how we travel. Your 7-day private itinerary runs from Casablanca to Marrakech with days planned around salat times, 100% halal dining, alcohol-free stays and an Arabic & English speaking driver-guide.

The route carries you through the heart of Islamic Morocco: pray at the ocean-side Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, stand inside Al-Qarawiyyin in Fes — the world's oldest university, founded in 859 AD by a Muslim woman, Fatima al-Fihri — and walk the carved cedar courtyards of the Ben Youssef Madrasa in Marrakech.

Between the mosques and madrasas comes the classic Morocco journey — the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas, a camel trek and night at a Sahara camp in Merzouga (Maghrib on the dunes is a moment you will never forget), the Todra and Dades gorges, and the UNESCO ksar of Aït Ben Haddou.

Travelling in Ramadan? We shift the whole rhythm — suhoor, iftar and taraweeh included. Prefer a honeymoon setting? See our 7 Day Morocco Honeymoon Tour — it can be arranged fully halal too.

Your full 7 day halal itinerary

🕌 Hassan II Mosque🌊 Atlantic corniche🥘 Halal dinner

Your driver-guide welcomes you at Casablanca airport. In the late afternoon, visit the Hassan II Mosque — the largest mosque in Africa, its minaret rising 210 metres above the Atlantic. Pray Maghrib there as the sun drops into the ocean, then stroll the corniche before a halal dinner. Overnight in Casablanca.

🕌 Hassan Tower & Mausoleum🏰 Kasbah of the Udayas🚪 Bab Mansour · Meknes

North along the coast to Rabat, the capital: the 12th-century Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the white-and-blue lanes of the Kasbah of the Udayas above the river. Dhuhr in Rabat, then on to Meknes for the monumental Bab Mansour gate and the old medina.

Arrive in Fes in the evening — the spiritual capital of Morocco. Overnight at a riad in the medina.

🕌 Al-Qarawiyyin📖 Bou Inania & Attarine madrasas🕌 Moulay Idriss II zaouia🧵 Tanneries & souks

A full day inside Fes el-Bali (UNESCO) with a local guide. The centrepiece is Al-Qarawiyyin — founded in 859 AD by Fatima al-Fihri and recognised as the world's oldest continuously operating university. As Muslims, you can enter and pray where scholars have prayed for over eleven centuries.

Continue through the carved-cedar courtyards of the Bou Inania and Attarine madrasas, the zaouia of Moulay Idriss II, the Chouara tanneries and the souks. Every prayer of the day falls naturally inside the medina. Overnight in Fes.

🌲 Ifrane & cedar forest🐒 Barbary macaques🌴 Ziz Valley🐫 Sunset camel trek🕋 Salat on the dunes

South through alpine Ifrane and the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas (watch for Barbary macaques), over the Tizi n'Talghomt pass and down the palm-filled Ziz Valley to the edge of the Sahara.

At Merzouga, a camel caravan carries you into the dunes of Erg Chebbi for sunset. Pray Maghrib on the sand as the light fades — for many guests the single most powerful moment of the trip. Halal dinner at the camp, Berber drums by the fire, and a sky full of stars. Overnight at the desert camp.

🌅 Fajr & sunrise on Erg Chebbi🏞️ Todra canyon walk🏰 Dades kasbahs🌹 Rose Valley🌆 Ouarzazate

Fajr on the dunes if you wish, then sunrise over the Sahara — worth every minute of lost sleep. After breakfast, drive to Tinghir and walk the floor of the Todra Gorge, its walls rising 300 metres above a palm-lined river.

Continue through the Dades Valley — the "road of a thousand kasbahs" — and the Valley of the Roses at Kelaat M'Gouna, arriving in Ouarzazate for the evening. Honest note: this is the longest driving day of the week (around 6–7 hours with stops), but pushing to Ouarzazate tonight makes tomorrow's return to Marrakech relaxed. Halal dinner and overnight at a riad in Ouarzazate.

🏰 Aït Ben Haddou (UNESCO)🏔️ Tizi n'Tichka pass🌙 Free evening in Marrakech

A short morning drive brings you to the Kasbah Aït Ben Haddou (UNESCO) — Morocco's most photogenic earthen ksar. With the whole morning ahead of you, climb to the old granary for the panorama before the day-trip crowds arrive.

Then over the High Atlas on the Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260 m) and down to Marrakech, arriving mid-afternoon. The evening is yours — the souks, dinner near the square, or simply your riad. Overnight in Marrakech.

🕌 Koutoubia Mosque📖 Ben Youssef Madrasa🏛️ Bahia Palace🛍️ Souks🕌 Jumu'ah if Friday

Marrakech with a local guide: the Koutoubia Mosque — sister of the Hassan Tower and Seville's Giralda — the beautifully restored Ben Youssef Madrasa, the Bahia Palace and the souks. If today is Friday, we arrange Jumu'ah at the Koutoubia before anything else.

Depending on your flight, finish with mint tea on a rooftop over Jemaa el-Fna before your airport transfer. Want more days? Essaouira, Chefchaouen or extra Sahara time extend easily.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is Morocco halal-friendly for Muslim travellers?

Extremely. Morocco is a Muslim country — the adhan sounds five times a day, every town has mosques, halal food is the default, and Islamic heritage is everywhere, from Al-Qarawiyyin in Fes to the Koutoubia in Marrakech. With a Muslim-owned local team, everything simply works the way you're used to.

Is all the food on the tour really halal?

Yes — 100%. Meat in Morocco is halal by default, and we only book restaurants and accommodations we know personally. We also avoid venues that serve alcohol wherever possible, and always tell you honestly if a hotel has a licensed bar area. Tell us any extra requirements in the quote form.

Can we pray during the tour — and attend Jumu'ah?

Of course. Your days are planned around salat times, the vehicle carries prayer mats and a qibla compass, and we stop at mosques or clean prayer spaces on the road. If your tour includes a Friday, we arrange Jumu'ah at a major mosque — the Koutoubia in Marrakech or Hassan II in Casablanca are unforgettable.

Can we travel during Ramadan?

Yes — Ramadan in Morocco is special. We shift the itinerary to a Ramadan rhythm: lighter daytime visits, suhoor and iftar arranged every day, and taraweeh at the great mosques. Eid departures are also popular — tell us your dates and we plan around the moon.

Are there women-only hammam and spa options?

Yes. Traditional Moroccan hammams are separated by gender or by schedule, and we book women-only sessions and female staff on request. Just mention it in the quote form.

Is there alcohol in the riads and hotels?

We prioritise alcohol-free riads and hotels. Where a property has a licensed area, we tell you before booking so you decide. Family villas and fully private stays are available on request — popular with Gulf families.

When is the best time to visit Morocco?

March–May and September–November are ideal — warm days, cool nights, comfortable in the cities and the Sahara. Summer suits travellers used to heat (coastal stops help), and winter is quiet and beautiful with cold desert nights. We also plan around Ramadan and the Eids whenever they fall.

How do we book — and how much is the deposit?

Message us on WhatsApp or fill the quote form. We reply within 24 hours with your full custom itinerary and pricing. Once you're happy, a 30% deposit secures your dates. The balance is paid on arrival in cash or card.
